VELUX share gifts with Indonesian villagers

Located on the Malaku island of Saparua in Indonesia, Cape Paperu offers some of the best scuba diving in the world.

Over 1,000 small islands are collectively known as ‘Malaku’, and the tropical ocean is the most bio-diverse in all of the Indo-Pacific. Most of the reefs remain untouched and therefore it’s ideal for snorkelling and diving.

Off the beaten tourist route, it was the perfect place for a Certified Installer to visit recently, and while there he took the time to share the VELUX love with some local schoolchildren.
Richard Burge recently visited the ‘spice islands’ on a trip to the beautiful Cape Paperu resort. Supported by VELUX head office, Richard combined his love for scuba diving with his desire to support a small, local community.

While in Indonesia, Richard shared gifts that had been generously provided by VELUX. Presents of bags, notebooks, pens and pencils were distributed to local schoolchildren and Richard also supplied solar-powered lights to the local villagers.

Richard says: “These gifts were all donated by VELUX and the villagers were so pleased with the solar lights. The school were also really happy with the pens and notepads.
“The scuba diving was also outstanding.”
