It’s been a busy start to 2021, so we’d like to take this opportunity to welcome the new members to the scheme and provide everyone with an update on membership guidelines as well as current opportunities available across the business and how you can get involved with upcoming projects.
Guidelines
One of the key benefits to both members and customers is the handling of customer enquiries and complaints should something happen. In order for your business to make full use of the membership and its benefits, it is essential that you make yourself and your employees familiar with the Code of Practice guidelines as can be found here.
One of the primary practices to bear in mind is the requesting of an advance payment or deposit from a homeowner. If you don’t already do so, and in accordance with the agreement, you must only request an advance payment to cover the purchase of materials or other services but not your labour. If you have any further questions regarding the Code of Conduct document, please don’t hesitate to contact our office.
Projects
Another advantage of the scheme is being able to access resources for new product launches and promotional packages. Being part of the VELUX Certified Installer Partnership also enables you to get involved in case studies and focus groups to help develop the VELUX products and services further as well as help promote your business further.
We post the latest news of these projects on our Facebook page, so make sure you’re signed up to be the first to access these opportunities when they arise.
Alternatively, if you have a project you would like to feature in our bi-monthly newsletter or think it would be of interest for a case study, please contact our office at the details below.
Additional benefits
As a VCIP member, you also have access to free VCIP branded stationery including:
If you’re interested in accessing any of these items, then please contact the office for more details on ordering.
Looking to update your Public Liability insurance? Then as a Certified Installer, you can also access the Trade Direct insurance discount which offers you 20% off, just use the code VELUX20.
Training
Although in-person training is not currently able to go ahead, we are still offering FREE live, online training that allows you to take part in an interactive session with Mark Dymond to learn more about new products, technical specifications and best practice in installations. If you haven’t already taken part in one of our Best Practice training sessions, then we have more coming up in May, so contact the office to book yours or your employee’s space at any of the following times:
If you’re already booked up for May, then make sure to book ahead to secure a place at one of our June or July sessions.
